- Hey people!
-
- Im a frustrated AMOS programmer... dont laugh.. well, you can if you
- want.. im avocational in this area.. im trying to program a little game similar
- to the old Nintendo RPG's which were my favorites.. (kind alike ultima but not
- so elitist... not so complicated... simple tile-based stuff)
-
- anyway, to the heart of my (first) question... I want to do my menu in
- windows, as they are done in such games as Final Fantasy and Dragon Warrior and
- the like... however, in order to use the WIND SAVE command to save the graphics
- behind my picture, it wants to save the WHOLE screen, which eats up WAY too
- much RAM... in the book it says something about making a dummy window but i
- have not gotten this to work, seeing as how whatever i put over the main screen
- necessitates saving the graphics beneath, and thus saving the WHOLE DAMN
- SCREEN!!! (hence my frustration)
-
- So i was wondering if anyone could possibly tell me how to get this to
- work.. or point me to some source code or something... it would be much
- appreciated... mail it to me if you can
-
- thanks!
